The forecast is a way of naming what might happen. Ceremony is a way of making room for it anyway.

We spend a long time trying to predict a wedding’s weather: literal weather, emotional weather, the temper of a room. But the moments that stay are rarely the ones that went according to plan. They are the quick lift of a tablecloth before rain, the familiar hand at the back of a dress, the open door at the exact right time.
