Getting Here & Settling In
Jaipur is well connected by air, rail, and road — your private invitation carries the household-specific details you need. A few notes to help you arrive with ease.
Arriving in Jaipur
Finding Your Way to the Pink City
Jaipur International Airport and the main railway station both sit conveniently close to the city's heart. We recommend checking your private invitation for any specific guidance we have shared with your household, and booking your onward journey to the Palace in advance — the city is at its most vibrant in January and fills up quickly.
The Venue
Rambagh Palace
Once the official residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur, Rambagh Palace is a monument to Rajput grandeur — sprawling Mughal gardens, carved sandstone jharokhas, and interiors that glow warmly in winter light. Every event across the five days takes place within its grounds, so once you arrive, you are exactly where you need to be.
Jaipur in January
The Very Best Time to Be Here
January is Jaipur at her finest — cool, clear days and crisp evenings perfectly suited to garden ceremonies and candlelit ballrooms. We suggest layering for the evenings and keeping a morning free to explore the old city. The bazaars of Johari and Bapu offer everything from Rajasthani jewellery to handblock-printed textiles worth bringing home.
A Few Things You May Be Wondering
When should I plan to arrive and depart?
The celebrations begin on Friday morning, so we'd love for you to arrive comfortably the evening before. Tuesday's brunch is a gentle, unhurried close — departing that afternoon or the following morning works beautifully.
Do I need to attend every event?
Each gathering has its own distinct mood and we have planned them all with love. Your invitation will indicate which events apply to your household — when in doubt, reach out to us directly.
What is the weather like in Jaipur in January?
January in Jaipur is wonderfully cool — daytime temperatures are mild and sunny, while evenings can dip and carry a pleasant chill. We recommend packing a light wrap or shawl for the outdoor moments.
Is there anything to do in Jaipur beyond the celebrations?
Absolutely — the Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and the walled old city are all close at hand and spectacular in winter light. We encourage you to carve out a little time for the city herself.
Who should I contact if I have a specific question about my invitation?
For anything particular to your household — logistics, meal preferences, or other details — please reach out to us directly using the contact on your private invitation. We want every guest to feel completely taken care of.
